By far the most requested ensemble for wedding ceremonies is our String Quartet. Booking your string quartet through Richard Brown Music is the first step in checking off a major item on your to-do list. You can rest assured, the most professional and experienced musicians will be hired well in advance, and all the music (whether traditional or specially arranged) will be organized and rehearsed, so that everything runs smoothly on your wedding day.

We’ve helped every type of bride, ranging from “I’ve never done this before and don’t know what music I want” to “I saw this on YouTube and want the music to fade out exactly like that”.

There are 4 or 5 pieces of music to consider for your ceremony: a Prelude, which accompanies people while they're being seated, 2 or 3 Processionals, for the parents & clergy, the bridal attendants, and the bride herself; a Recessional for the newly wedded couple as they exit, and a Postlude to accompany the guests’ exit. On this page you’ll find a list of the traditional pieces we recommend for these selections, but if “traditional” isn't your thing, we can have any music you like arranged for String Quartet. We’ve played arrangements of the Beatles, Billy Joel, Enya, Michael Bublé, Coldplay, and many more. Whatever you’re looking for, we’re happy to accommodate your requests.

We also offer a complete repertoire of music for Jewish Weddings; both instrumental and accompaniments for the Cantor to sing.

Let the Richard Brown Orchestra make your Wedding an event to remember.
